For this project our team embarked on the task of transforming the digital presence of a construction company, including new logo, brand identity and website design.

Project description

TLE (Tallinna Linnaehitus) provides project management and construction supervision services in the building industry. Feeling that their existing brand was outdated, the company sought a modernized brand identity that would reflect brand evolution over the years.

Another task was to create a visually compelling and user-friendly website, uncovering company’s brand values and effectively showcasing their works.

Phase 1

Information architecture.

In close collaboration with the client, we developed a clear understanding on what content should be displayed on the website. One of the main challenges during the project was to turn the massive amount of company’s projects into a structured and engaging portfolio. Developing a clear and organized information architecture was therefore crucial to ensure the website was easily navigable and not overwhelming for the users.

Here’s a glance at the initial stage of the project, with explorations of how to structure the portfolio for easy and clear display.

Phase 2

Brand identity.

The brand identity design was based on thorough research of competitor market and target audience expectations. In this case, it was particularly important to highlight the company’s profound experience on the market and a well-established reputation. So, we built the brand around such characteristics as expertise, trust and modernity. To convey that, we chose a refined color palette with shades of blue, paired with clean serif heading fonts for a professional yet welcoming feel.

The process of logo design involved playing around with the letters TLE, stacking them together like construction blocks. You can see some of the ideas below.

Phase 3

Web design.

After creating the visual identity we went on to design an informative and dynamic website. The new website is scannable and easy to navigate, presenting a well-arranged mix of photos and text. Use of color blocks and sharp corners mimics the construction industry aesthetics and provides a sense of structure. Solid visual hierarchy, paired with smooth web animation, makes the user experience seamless and enjoyable for the visitors.

Phase 4

Web development.

The website was developed in Webflow, resulting in a clean, informative platform that effectively showcases the company’s extensive project portfolio and establishes a trustworthy brand impression. The multilingual feature and CMS implementation provide flexibility, giving the TLE team complete control over content updates.
